2024 Album Retreat Project

At my Mini Album Retreat, I designed this bespoke project to include a storage box with frame as so many people like to give them as a keepsake gift.

My weekend retreats are open to anyone – novice or seasoned crafter, it doesn’t matter as my projects are easy to do follow and can be completed by anyone.

At this years retreat I had 2 new non-paper crafters who had never made an album before. As well as having a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, they took home their completed albums and their projects were as good as anyone else’s that attended my retreat.

Thank you Dawn and your glamorous assistants for another fabulous weekend retreat.

Hard work but so much fun and laughter and what a stunning keepsake!! Roll on so we can do it all again.

Margaret

Thank you, Dawn for another fantastic weekend. Great instruction and kits.

You really knocked it out of the park this time ??

Kaz

Everyone that attended created exactly what you see here – a fantastic album and storage box with frame that will hold 60+ 6×4 photos – a brilliant way to share your memories or to gift someone for a wedding or milestone birthday or other celebration.

Do I need to be an expert crafter to make this?

Absolutely not! Everyone attending the Retreat had a mixture of experiences from an absolute beginner to a seasoned expert and everyone went away with a finished album.

I believe with the right tuition anyone is capable of making wonderful Albums. With my workshops you can watch the videos as often as you like so you can take your time, measure twice, cut once, but most of all, enjoy.

The videos are broken down as follows:
  • Construction – 10 videos with imperial measurements
  • Decoration – 10 videos with imperial measurements

What do I get with this Workshop

My 2024 Project only comes in inches (Imperial measurements) and you will also receive a PDF Cutting & Scoring Guide to accompany my Step by Step Videos.

The videos are recorded in real time so you can watch what I do then pause or rewind or you can work on your projects as I do it – you are in full control for what works best for you.

I like to have a video for each stage so they are not too long and you can craft along with me if that’s what works best for you. There are 10 Construction Videos and 10 Project Decoration Videos.

You do not have to be an expert crafter to make one of these projects either. At 1 of the Weekend Album Retreats, I had 2 non-Paper Crafters plus 2 who had never made an Album before either and their projects were as good as everyone else’s.

So, gather your supplies, sit down and craft along with me and let your creative juices flow!

Tools & Supplies to make the project:

  • PDF Print Out of the Cutting & Scoring guide (provided in a download when you purchase the project)
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Score board
  • Bone folder
  • Quilting Clips
  • Scissors
  • Acid Free Glue
  • Red Line 12mm & 6mm Tape
  • Ink Pad and Blending tool to match your papers
  • Corner Round Punch
  • 16 x thin craft magnets

As you can imagine, there has been an enormous amount of work putting together 2 days Retreat in an online workshop.

To make it easier for you to digest and to help break each area up in to individual and manageable chunks, I take you step by step through the processes that everyone went through making their albums.
