This interative Page Mini Book is made with items I got in a grab bag along with a pack of 5×7 cards and envelopes.
I have made it in Kathy Orta’s and Laura Denison build a page style adding a few twists of my own.
It is the first album I have made like this and I am very pleased with the finished product.

Hi Dawn, oh I’ll be up all night trying to make one of these gems!
Do you have instructions for this project?
Hi Susan, Yes this is a big project however, from teaching this even a beginner can make this lovely book.
I dont have any written instructions for this project as I found from doing this as a day workshop it is easier to work with the crafters and do this as a step by step project and I can then explain the elements of the project more clearly in a video.
However, due to demand and the length of the videos this is going to be one of my paid video tutorial, for a small fee. That way crafters can work along with me step by step and pause the video as and when they want. Also along with the video you will get a full list of supplies so you to will be able to recreate this project. Hope this helps? Dawn
Hey Dawn, this is fantastic. I must tell you that I’ve been watching your videos all day–it’s now 12 midnight. I’m returning to paper crafting after a long time. I’ve never made a book, although I worked on altered books some years ago.
I had been looking at a number of videos on youtube and I think you’re by far the best teacher among all of them, which is why I pursued your work. Thanks for the clear, loving and caring way you present these videos.
My thought is to make my daughter, who will be graduated in May with her MFA in costume design, a book like this and later fill it with the photos I will take. You mention a paid video and I will be looking for that on your site.
For my husband, I will be making–as a first project–the one-hour mini book with the graduation pics, as I know he will love bringing them to work.
If you’re coming to the States to teach, please let me know!!!
Thanks again!

Hi Dolores,
So glad you are enjoying my tutorials and WOW! you are a deadicated follower, Thank you xx I feel very humbled by your comments and I would just like to say a Big Thank You for your kind words, it just so nice that all my hard word is being enjoyed by so many.
Yes I am doing a Tutorial on this project as it has been requested by a few of my followers. This will be an Online Workshop and I will be charging about £5 as it is a more detailed project as you can see from the taster video.
There will a be a PDF sheet with supplies and tools you will need so you can gather everything together ready to craft along with me. The Workshop will take the format of Step by Step videos and these will be done in real time. The videos will also be in several stages so also making it easier to stop and come back to as I know people have busy lives and can always craft non stop.
This is a lovely Album and I am sure you will not only enjoy making it but also fulling it with photos and keepsakes. I will be making and filming this over the next couple of weeks however, it is all the other techi stuff that takes the time (a 15 minute video can take over 90 minutes to upload) so please bear with me and i will get it done as soon as poss. I will post a new taster on YT showing when it is live so if you have subcribed to my YT Channel you will get an alert.
I am in the UK and I would love to come to the States to share my ideas but until I become famous and get a demonstrators job it won’t be happening so you will have to put up with me on YT for now.
Many thanks again and keep crafting
Dawn
Hi Dawn,
Looking forward. I’m subscribed to your youtube channel and will be attentive!!!!
I think that’s a more than fair price–thanks!!
And again, thanks for your wish to share your knowledge. I think you would be more than happy to know–so I’ll tell you–that my comment on your teaching is professional. I spent a great part of my life being taught, and the remainder of it so far as a college professor. I evaluate other professors’ teaching as part of my job. So that’s the source of the evaluation (you should know).
Thanks again
Dolores
Oh Dolores,
Thank you so much for your kind words and I feel even more humble as it is coming from someone with your standing.
I was in the teaching profession for many years as a Nursery Nurse teaching the under 7’s, in Day Nurseries and Pre school, it was only when my own children came along that I decided to be a Full Time Mum and loved every minute.
My children are now 13 and 15 years old and I wanted to do something that would mean I could still be at home but would fit in and around family life, so I turned to my hobbie. The rest as they say is history. It is so nice that so many crafters both newbie and seasoned are enjoying my work and that I am also reaching many non crafters too,who are now having a go at my tutorials and have found a new hobbie.
I do love what I do and I am so glad you do to.
Thanks again for your kind words.
Dawn
My pleasure, Dawn.
I stayed home with my only daughter for three years and then when she went to nursery, I finished my degree. It took six more years! She’s 27 now, almost 28. The time flies by. Enjoy yours while they’re still yours (although they will still need you, even at close to 30!).
Best wishes
Dolores
Thanks Dolores, Just on the final stages of filming this project. Happy Crafty Days!! Dx
This looks like a great project that I can’t wait to try but I must say as the video is playing and the captioning is on and the words are printed on the scene they are nothing like what you are saying. The translation is pretty bad and at times really funny. Please check it out. Love the project!
Hello Vickie
I had to have a look after you said. I have never used the subtitles/translate facility before. OMG!! it is so wrong, I think Google need to work on this don’t you?
You can click the adverting off, there is a little X in the top right of each adverting box.
