Graphic45 Place in Time Mini Birthday Book TUTORIAL

My Graphic45 Place in Time Mini Birthday Book Tutorial is now live.

Using a Graphic45 Place in Time 6×6 paper pad that came free with issue 118 of Simply Cards and Papercrafts along with some kraft cards I have made this beautiful Mini Birthday Book.

Please note, this video is in a playlist and the next one automatically follows at the end

Here are some images of my page layouts using the papers to there full potential. To see a bigger picture please click on each image.

If you cannot get 8×8 kraft cards you can still craft along with me using some 12×12 kraft cardstock to make your pages. The last video in this playlist is a tutorial on how to do this.

There are the measurements to go with this video.

Cut a strip 4” x 12” then cut a piece of the 12” side so your card now measures 4” x 11 ¼”.

Get this ¾” piece and cut it in half on the short side, then score both these pieces in half again and burnish the fold and set aside.

Now get the 4”x 11 ¼” piece and score on the long side at 3 ½” and 7 ½”.

Then make an extra score line at 1/8”to the left of the 7 ½” score line.

You will need to cut 12 photo/tags for your pockets and these measure 3 ¼” x 3 ¾ ”.

You can now follow the rest of the video tutorials to make up your Place in Time Birthday Book.

Hi Patricia, you are on the right page it is here. The videos are set up as a playlist as they as in stages to make it easier for my subscribers to follow. As I have also put so many photos on this page there was not enough room to put each separate video.
At the end of each video it automatically takes you straight to the next one. If you would like to watch them separately you can do so on my YT Channel.
      Hope this helps? Dx

I watched your videos and just loved the clever way that you used the paper that you had combining it with the kraft paper to cover the album. Soooo pretty.

Hi Dawn, I’ve only heard about your site today and love your mini albums. My Aunt is 90 years young on saturday. We are having a family get together for lunch (carvery) at a local pub. My Aunt didn’t want any presents, so instead I thought I would try and make her an album so guests could put in messages, with a heading of “remember when”. The Menu, and perhaps some pages for photographs of the day. I would like to make it from thickish card,(covered with patterned paper) and nice plain paper inside, I was thinking of making it about 8×8″ and not sure of the style, as long as there are no pockets or stitching. Any help or ideas would be greatfully appreciated. Cheers and thankyou, Marilyn.

Hi Marilyn, so glad to hear you have joined my crafty friends. Wow 90 years young! definatly time to celebrate……..
The album I think will fit with what you have in mind in is “6×6 Album in an Hour” http://dawnsinspirations.com/?s=6×6+album+in+an+hour
You can make it to a 8×8 size and cut your chipboard covers to fit. Instead of adding busy patterned papers you could keep the papers low key or add plain papers/cardstock and even stamp the corners for a bit of decoration. Let me know what you think? Dawn
