Do you have the Diesire Shutter Card Die? If so have you thought about making more than just a cards with? Your can make great mini scrapbook albums with this die to give as gifts or keepsakes. This project holds three 6″x 4″ Photos very nicely and can be made in no time at all.
Why not gather your supplies and watch the video and craft along with me so you too can make one of these Gatefold Shutter Mini Albums.

Very interesting I’m from the US I’d never heard of A3 card stock what is what are the dimensions
Hello Barbara,
The measurements for A3 card are 11 3/4inches x 16 1/2inches. If you look at my post and click on the A3 Cardstock post it will take you to the Crafters Companion UK Site and you can see A3 Cardstock there. I hope this helps you. Dawn x
Hello,Dawn
Beautiful card I’m from the US how would you mail a card like that. Thanks for the tutorial . You do such beautiful work.
Thank you
Daphne
Hello Daphne,
Thank you for your comment. If I was posting this I would fold the 2 sides to the back of the project so you could see the middle photo, then depending on which embellishments you added this project is flat.
You could make your own evelope or wrap it to sent. The overall size is then 5 3/4″ x 12″ so here in the UK it would go as a large letter size.
I do hope this helps you? Dawn
Thank you so much..
Hello Dawn, I didn’t know you existed until I was trawling UTube while the snow was falling outside
I have watched your last 2 published video’s and I think you are very talented lady. Your mini album I am going to pinch, it’s come just in time for me to make a 70th birthday gift.
One question, I have a mini Gemini machine and could you tell me how you stack the plates (sandwich). I have some of these dies and struggle to get them to just score and not cut the score lines. I will now be looking through your videos to see what else “I can pinch” many thanks look forward to hearing from you
Hi Moreen,
The sandwich I use on my Gemini is Cuttining plate-card stock – Die – clear plastic Shim- magnetic sheet- cutting plate. However, I do know every machine may be slightly different so if your scorelines are cutting I can only suggest pressure on your machine is too much. So remove your magnetic shim and ad an extra sheet of card stock. If this is not enough add a couple of sheets of card. Just a case of getting the know machine. My machine is now 2 years old as it was one of the first as I demonstrate for crafters companion.
Thanks for replying so promptly Dawn, I will try your suggestions, my machine is new a Christmas gift so it’s not been in use that much. Many thanks once again Morwen
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
