My Flip Flap Foto Folio is a good place to start as it is super quick and super easy to make and takes away the fears of many more difficult folios. A great project that can be created in a morning or afternoon once you gather up your supplies.
This project has been made with supplies I already had in my crafty stash, so hopefully they are supplies you have too so you will not need to go and buy anything new to make this super quick and fast Flip Flap Foto Folio project.
I tend to make my Foto Folios the same size so they can be stored easily on my shelf and look fabulous when they are lined up together. I go for an overall size of 8 ¼ “ x 8 ¼” as they are big enough to store lots of photos but not too big that you don’t have anywhere to store them. Also being a scrapbooker they fit in well with my 8×8 scrapbooks.

The New Aqua Markers from Spectrum Noir are a water based artist quality pen. Just like there Spectrum Noir Alcohal Markers they are dual ended with a flexible soft brush nib at one end and a very fine tip at the other.
So these too need to be stored on their side so the ink chamber in the middle can feed both of the nibs.
These are of such fine artist quality that you have the convenience of taking them anywhere but you do not have the mess and fuss of normal watercolour paints.
There are 48 pens in total and these come in 4 packs of 12 pens.

You don’t need as many colours as like normal water colours you can colour mix the different colours to get extra colours you require.
Same goes for getting different shades of the same colour, just add some water to create the different shades of the same colour.
The only extras you will need is water, some good quality paint brushes, a fine water spray bottle and the card/paper. Crafters Companion Watercolour Card is great as it can take a lot of water before sheading fibres this has a textured finish and gives your projects a professional look. If you prefer a smoother look you can use Sheena’s Stamping Card which you can get from Crafters Companion.
Aqua Markers are safe to use as the ink inside is water soluble so there is no odor and they are acid free so great if you wish to use them on your scrapbooking projects too.

Stamp the butterfly using the Staz-On ink pad and then colour this with your Spectrum Noir Aqua Tints using the brushes that come in the box.
While it is still damp shape the wings to give the butterfly more dimension.
Using the pipettes that come in the box drop some of the Aqua Tint colour onto the wet card and then set this aside to dry.
Now matt and layer this to make it stand out and attach this to your card blank to create your finished card.
I created this quick card using the Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and the E-Brush.
Firstly, I stamped the butterfly using Staz-On Ink and coloured this using Aqua Markers. While the card was still damp, I shaped the wings to give some dimension.
I then created the background using my Sectrum Noir Aqua Markers and the E-Brush. The E-Brush is so easy to use and gives you unique bespoke backgrounds that will make you cards stand out.
I then stamped the sentiment again using Staz-On ink and attached the butterfly with Collall 3D Glue Gel. Attach this to your card blank and you card is complete.
