Hi, I’m Dawn, a freelance demonstrator and crafter.

My love of all things crafty came from my Mum and Dad. Mum was always doing handy crafts around the house and Dad built dolls houses, garages, dolls cots and even sleighs for the snow so it must be in the genes!!

My first career was as a nursery nurse and my crafting skills were very useful when needing to make and create things for the children. Whether it be dresses for shows, wall displays or anything to help them learn, I always tried to do things that helped stimulate them.

After I was married, I got a great deal of pleasure designing and decorating my children’s bedrooms with wall murals and painting furniture. I have also made clothes, dresses and helped at school with art projects as my family grew up.

I then found scrapbooking through a friend of mine so off I went armed with a few basic tools and that was it, I was hooked! Since then, I have gone from having a small corner in my husband’s home office to taking over the spare bedroom and his office with all my tools and crafty stash!!

My new found love of scrapbooking led me to creating albums, mini books and off the page projects to display all my pictures. As I did more, I came up with all sorts of new ideas and techniques which led to lots of questions on how I did them so I created a few video tutorials to take them step by step through the processes.

As the demand for my tutorials grew, I uploaded more and more to YouTube and share many of my thoughts and ideas here on my website for all to enjoy. I have produced a number of paid workshops allowing crafters of all abilities to join in and make some beautiful projects that are just perfect to give to friends and family as gifts for a more personal touch or just to display important memories.

I do hope you enjoy my journey and have a go at some of the ideas and tutorials on my website. This way you too can create some lovely things to share with your loved ones.
