About this Not So Mini Year Book
So many of us take oodles of pictures throughout the years and these tend to be left on hard drives and cards rather than being easy to view and enjoy with friends and family.
In our daily lives, we snap away taking loads and loads of pictures and as scrapbookers we find it hard to decide which photos to scrapbook.
This year book mini will give you an opportunity to not only showcase many of your photos for each month, but also has room from journaling and memorabilia.
When you have finished constructing this mini book, you will be able to show over 200 photos of your most treasured memories making it a great way to document your year.

Hi Dawn. Really enjoying making this to record my new grandson’s first year. Have made all the pages and the hinge system and now have to do the cover. Can’t find the delivery envelopes or Tyvek that you have used and would appreciate some help in locating a supplier please.

Hello Judith
I am so glad you have enjoyed this workshop and just shows there are so many different ways of using this mini book or should I say NOT so mini book!!
I think it sounds perfect to record that special first year in a child/grandchild’s life as they grow up oh so quickly.
As for Tyvek you can do a goole search but I do know Amazon sell it, http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=tyvek&sprefix=tyvek%2Caps.
Hope this helps?
Please do share some finished photos of your book. You can either put them on my FaceBook Page or email them to me I would love to see them and also share with other subbies.
Enjoy!

Thanks, Dawn. I did try googling but wasn’t sure if I had found the right thing. Have now ordered using the link you sent. Thanks so much. While I wait for that I am tackling decorating the pages today. Grandson was born on 4th January so it seemed an ideal thing to do when he was born right at the beginning of the year. Will send you photos when finished. I have done some less adventurous albums through your tutorials and will send photos of these too. This is a bigger effort and I am really enjoying it. Just one thing with the fold out photo mats – for the one that is 5 1/2 ” wide your tutorial says to trim it to half of 13″, i.e. 6.25 ” but half of 13 is 6.5. I have used the 6.5 measurement which seems to be working. Just wondered which one you think is the correct one please. Everything else has gone so smoothly – I love your projects.

Hi Juith
What a lovely way to start 2015 with a new Grandson and the Not So Mini Year Book is the perfect way to document this first year!
Thanks for drawing my attention to the measurement no one else has yet so you must be doing really well on your book. The correct measurment is 6.5 inches.
Please share some photos of your finished projects I would love to see them.

Hi Dawn,
Another great video & project! I post the items I have made of your on my crafting blogs & facebook pages and tons of people always want your link.
My question is this: I live in the states and A3 cardstock is harder to come by, especially in my tiny town of 1,200. Can I use 12×12 cardstock? Would there be a lot of adjustments?
Dawn –
Hi Susan
Great to hear you are enjoying the tutorials and your followers are too. You will have to send me the link to your page.
If you can not get A3 cardstock I would suggest using 7 inch square cards for the page construction and photo mats that go in, then you can use 12×12 for the other cardstock in this project.
You can make the book any size you like and how many pages you like. The size is depending on your page size, at the moment I am making one which has 6×6 inch pages.
Hope this helps?

Dawn,
Thank you for your reply & help.
Can I use 7inch square cards for the pages? I love this tutorial and love that it focuses on the envelope punch board.
Dawn –
Yes Susan as the ,main page construction is 7×7 inches you can use 7 inch square cards if you can not get A3 cardstock.
It is already scored and folded so you wont have to do this step either. You could use the same card for the flaps as well so everything matches.

Just came across this and it looks so fabulous. I want to do it to put together an album for my dads 70th birthday with memorabilia of his life and pictures of family. I consider myself crafty but I’ve never done something like this! Besides your class cost what do you think the money investment will be for all supplies?
Dawn –
Hello Jennifer,
It is hard to say as some things you may already have in your craft stash. This also depends on we’re you are shopping, my craft followers come from all over the world and some places are more expensive for craft supplies.
I always shop around and compare prices online with craft shows I go to here in the UK. This project with everything glues etc cost me just under £30. However, this is a project that will last for many years and be a well treasured gift.
Hope this helps Dawn
