DIY board covers for you mini scrapbook albums

To make a board cover for you scrapbook mini albums can take sometime and some skills if you are a new crafter. However, in this video tutorial I show you a quick way to get the same affect in minimal time and at very low cost.

With the use of an empty cereal box or similar and some 12×12 patterned papers, you can now make your own board covers for your mini scrapbook albums.

    Hi Dawn

Just ‘discovered’ you! Have just watched your DIY board covers video with the cereal box. Brilliant idea as it is a real pain with the mountboard. Pinched the box of hubby’s cereal so am off to try.

I mainly do calligraphy but like having a go at making books and cards.

    All the best
    Hazel

      Hi Johanna,
Yes my UK crafters have not found it easy however, there have all been sharing their finds on my FB Page. If you pop over there and look at some of the past post you can see where they got them and the best prices too. One follower even bought a bulk amount and was sharing them so you could message her and see if she has any left.
      Hope this helps?

I just found your tutorial on making mini book out of cereal box. Love your tutorial. Very straightforward and easy to follow along. I will definitely have a try at this! However, I do have a question? How do you attach the inside pages to the book? Thanks in advance!

Hello Tish, you can add different hinge stystems to this cover in the same way you would a board cover construsted cover. I you watch some of my Mini Album Tutorials you can see how to add these to your cover. The 2 hinge systems i mainly use are the hidden hinge and the stack the deck.

I looked at your excellent video for this mini album cover – could you please tell met if there’s a video for the inner pages/pockets? I’d love to make those.

      Hi Mandy
This video was to show you just how quickly you can create a Mini Book Cover so you can choose to fill it with any hinge/page system you prefer . Like Stack the Deck or Hinge Hing Systems. Any of my Mini Album Tutorials can use this cover.
      have fun and enjoy.
